Cop Who Tasered 10-Year-Old Girl Fired—For NOT Filming It!
Tuesday, December 1st, 2009 -- 4:34 pm
Dustin Bradshaw, the Arkansas police officer who Tasered a 10-year-old girl earlier this month because she refused to take a shower, has been fired—because he failed to record the incident!
In a memo reported on by The Associated Press, police Chief Jim Noggle wrote that now-former Officer Bradshaw had been repeatedly told in the past to turn on his lapel microphone and make sure the camera on his Taser was working properly. Bradshaw reportedly told a fellow officer “it is worth a 5 point deduction” not to do so. Was it worth your job, fool?
Any way you cut it, this was one dumb cop.
Despite the stated reason for the firing, this looks more like an incident of “we want to fire you for this but we don’t think we have enough grounds, let’s see what else we can get you on.” That or Chief Noggle was really p.o.’d about missing out on seeing such great footage and the dashing of his dream to have a top ranked YouTube video.
